Making a Difference in Los Angeles
At Trilogy Trust Foundation, we are driven by a deep sense of compassion and a steadfast commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those facing economic hardship. Our work is centered around empowering individuals and families in the county of Los Angeles, where the challenges of homelessness and the high cost of living are all too prevalent. Overall our aim is to prevent homelessness and enable families to enjoy sustainable housing, employment or self employment. We do this through the following programs:
Preventing Homelessness and Providing EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
Our primary mission is to prevent homelessness and support those in dire straits. We provide practical assistance to people facing eviction this can be through 1:1 support, helping to fight eviction or seeking legal advice. We also provide grants to stop eviction and pay rent arrears as well as negotiate with landlords. We help people to pay for a deposit on a new home and provide assistance with rehousing. In addition we may help with emergency bills such as car and housing repairs, utilities, medical bills and childcare.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Sponsorship
Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, we take special initiatives to bring joy and comfort to families living in poverty or facing homelessness. During Thanksgiving, we distribute food boxes to ensure they can enjoy a warm and hearty Turkey dinner. Additionally, we provide cash donations to alleviate immediate financial burdens.
For Christmas, we reach out to these families and obtain their heartfelt wish lists, both for themselves and their children. Our dedicated team then purchases gifts from these lists, wrapping them up with care and delivering them to their doorsteps. To further spread holiday cheer, we supply another box of Christmas food and additional cash donations to help them through the festive season.
Empowering Entrepreneurs through grants and Mentoring
Recognizing the transformative power of entrepreneurship and self employment, we offer grants to aspiring entrepreneurs or individuals seeking to start a business, self employment or side hustle that will ultimately end in a sustainable income. Many people possess incredible ideas and talents, but lack the necessary capital or credit score to secure a traditional loan. We step in to provide the support they need, allowing them to turn their dreams into reality. A family may have the skills to start a business but lack the capital to get started.
To complement the financial assistance, Dr. Krissy Jones, our founder and an experienced entrepreneur herself, offers invaluable mentorship to those starting their own businesses. Having overcome significant challenges in her own journey, she provides practical advice and guidance to help individuals navigate the path towards success.
